El Ministro de Energía, Ricardo Raineri, comunicó el nombramiento de la nueva Directora Ejecutiva del Centro de Energías Renovables, Carolina Galleguillos, quién fue presentada al equipo de trabajo del CER. Galleguillos es economista y máster en políticas energéticas de la Universidad Wageningen de Holanda; y se ha desempeñado, tanto en Chile como en el extranjero, en empresas que gestionan proyectos de energías renovables y, en la misma línea, además estuvo a cargo del establecimiento en el país de empresas extranjeras.
Como directora del Centro de Energías Renovables, tendrá como principal objetivo articular los esfuerzos existentes en esta materia y crear entornos de desarrollo acordes a la meta planetada por el gobierno: tener un 20% de suministro energético basado en ERNC para el 2020.
Según el Ministro Raineri, “tener a profesionales destacados en este ámbito es un claro ejemplo del esfuerzo que el gobierno está haciendo para el impulso de las Energías Renovables no Convencionales en nuestro páís. En este sentido tenemos un largo camino por recorrer, pero podemos decir que tenemos un horizonte claro hacia donde Chile necesita avanzar, para lo que es clave la experiencia internacional”, puntualizó.
“Como una convencida de la importancia y necesidad del desarrollo de las energías renovables en mi país, es un honor liderar el Centro de Energías Renovables y poder promocionar y facilitar las implementaciones de las ERNC en Chile”, declaró Carolina Galleguillos a su llegada.
El CER es un organismo especializado en la promoción de la investigación y desarrollo de las Energías Renovables no Convencionales, creado por CORFO y el Ministerio de Energía. Dentro de las actividades para este 2010 se han realizado cursos y talleres sobre ERNC con importantes exponentes extranjeros en la materia. En la misma línea, se está organizando junto a Corfo un Encuentro Internacional para noviembre. A casi un año de su lanzamiento, el CER ha robustecido relaciones con instituciones relacionadas a las energías limpias, tanto nacionales como extranjeras.
