El ministro de Energía, Ricardo Raineri, aseguró que para el próximo año esperan contar con un proyecto de ley que impulse la implementación de “redes inteligentes” en la red eléctrica, las que permitirían a los clientes residenciales aportar energía al sistema. “Esta es una de las prioridades legislativas del gobierno en materia energética”, afirmó al Diario Estrategia.
NET METERING o Medición Neta consiste en que los clientes residenciales inyecten energía desde sus hogares, y al momento de aportarla el medidor funciona en modo inverso, restando la electricidad consumida por medio de la que se ha generado”, explicó el ministro de Energía, Ricardo Raineri.
En el gobierno apuestan por la utilización de paneles solares y molinos de viento, para que de esta forma los usuarios residenciales puedan transformarse en generadores de energía que aporten al sistema interconectado. Dicho proyecto ya es una realidad en países como Japón y Estados Unidos.
Sin embargo, cabe destacar que en estos países existen diversos incentivos para la implementación de sistemas de generación energética por fuentes renovables.
“Esta es una muy buena iniciativa, pero tiene ciertos desafíos tecnológicos en relación al software que maneja toda esta información, y a los implementos técnicos que necesitan para medir los aportes, porque hoy día todas las viviendas tienen medidores unidireccionales y habría que cambiarlos o adaptarlos”, puntualizó Ramón Galaz, gerente general de Valgesta Energía.
