Expo Eficiencia Energética convoca a más de 6 mil personas
El evento, pionero en el país y Latinoamérica, organizado por el Programa País de Eficiencia Energética, presentó las principales innovaciones en eficiencia energética, con el objeto de crear consciencia sobre la necesidad del buen uso y ahorro de energía en el hogar y la producción industial.

Actividades educativas para la familia y más de 120 expositores de la industria se presentaron durante dos días en la primera feria del rubro, que se realizó en Estación Mapocho.
El viernes, durante la inauguración, el ministro Ricardo Raineri destacó que esta iniciativa “posiciona a Chile como líder en eficiencia energética de Latinoamérica”.
Dentro de las actividades relevantes del evento, se presentó oficialmente la Agencia Chilena de Eficiencia Energética (AchEE), la cual estará operativa a fin de año. Esta agencia pretende desarrollar de manera integral los tres pilares de la política energética: seguridad energética, energía a precios competitivos y sustentabilidad medioambiental.
Además se realizaron más de 20 charlas especializadas que trataron temas diversos como la nueva norma ISO 50.001 “Gestión de la Energía”, que certifica a la industria eficiente en energía del país. Además se trataron temas como eficiencia en edificación pública, viviendas bioclimáticas de Puerto Williams, eficiencia energética en el transporte de carga, viñas, alumbrado público y la llegada de autos eléctricos a Chile, entre otros.
El ministro de Energía, Ricardo Raineri, y el subsecretario del MINVU, anunciaron la nueva certificación de Viviendas Sustentables que permitirá al consumidor conocer el nivel de eficiencia de una vivienda nueva, como un antecedente para su compra.
Mientras, el sábado se lanzó la Campaña Nacional de Ahorro Energético con spots televisivos y la imagen de Offelio, que buscarán crear conciencia en la población sobre la necesidad de generar cambios en los hábitos de consumo.
Durante la tarde del sábado, se realizó la premiación del concurso “Inventos con buena energía” y “30 segundos con buena energía”, ambos dirigidos a alumnos de enseñanza media, universitarios y público general.
Actividades para toda la familia
Durante toda la feria se exhibió una obra teatral para niños llamada “El viaje de Simona” y se instaló un cine 3D móvil de “La brigada energética de Diego y Glot”. Además se realizó una muestra internacional de videos sobre eficiencia energética.
Novedades destacadas
Transelec exhibió casa sustentable del siglo XX
El modelo mostró 15 inventos realizados por jóvenes de enseñanza media, que ofrecen soluciones económicas y eficientes para el uso de la energía y del agua en el hogar. Todos los artefactos son simples de construir y poseen una relación costo/beneficio que los convierte en verdaderas alternativas para los productos presentes hoy en el mercado.
Dentro de ellos destaca la manilla sanitaria “Colonegg”, que permite disminuir el gasto excesivo de agua potable en la descarga de los inodoros. Otro innovador artefacto es el “SinStandBy”, que permite cortar la energía de electrodomésticos que no están en uso en un domicilio. El ahorro que se logra conseguir para un hogar promedio es de $6.000 mensuales.
Cálculo de huella de carbono personal
Evercrisp puso a disposición del público su Calculadora de Impacto Ambiental, que permite medir la huella que cada persona genera sobre el medio ambiente. La empresa tiene un sistema de cálculo implementado para todos sus empleados alrededor del mundo.
Iluminación Led
Con una vida útil aproximada de 25 mil horas, suficiente para durar hasta 17 años, la ampolleta LED GE Energy Smart en su versión de 9 watts está diseñada para reemplazar a los incandescentes comunes de 40 watts, brindando la misma cantidad de luz con un ahorro de energía de hasta 77%. La luminaria LED Evolve™ Cobrahead de General Electrics resultó ganadora del premio de mejor de su clase en la edición 2010 del Next Generation Luminaires y estará disponible en la Expo Eficiencia Energética.
Estación de carga rápida para vehículos eléctricos
Se espera que el 20% de los vehículos que circulen por el Gran Santiago en 2020 sean eléctricos. Sin embargo, en ABB creen que este incremento se podría adelantar con la implementación de estaciones de carga rápida en distintos puntos de la ciudad. La empresa presentará una estación capaz de cargar con electricidad a un vehículo en apenas seis minutos.
Xlerator, el secador de manos más eficiente y sustentable
